Becoming a Diabetes Educator
Entry level course for health care professionals who want to get started in the Diabetes Education Field.

Diabetes Educational Services is teaming up with local chapters of the American Association of Diabetes Educators to offer this exciting entry level training program. If you want to enter the dynamic and rewarding field of Diabetes Education, but are not sure how to get started, then attend this course to receive the foundation necessary for educating patients with diabetes.

This is not a program designed as a preparation for the CDE exam (see Level 2), but is designed for those seeking the basics of diabetes education in a supportive and upbeat setting. The first half of the program is primarily lecture and case studies describing the basics of diabetes and self management. The second half of the program focuses on teaching principles and interactive leaning. Open the PDF link below to print a course registration form.
