Based on the NEW Psychosocial Care ADA Standards published in December 2016, this course provides a framework to assess patient barriers to behavior change.

  • Explore the psychosocial issues that may be blocking patients from adopting healthier behaviors
  • Provide strategies for healthcare professionals to identify and overcome barriers
  • Introduce life studies used to apply theory to real life situations
