CA Conference Safety Regulations

Thank you for your interest in attending our live conference in beautiful San Diego, California on October 6-8, 2021.

To make sure everyone is safe, the hotel and California regulations require that:
All conference attendees must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination (see details below).

We are extremely hopeful that we will be able to provide this conference live, but in case of cancellation, we will provide a 3-Day Virtual Conference on the same days. If the registrant does not wish to attend this Virtual Conference, they can request a refund or apply their purchase credit to a future Virtual Conference, online courses, books, or products.

Vaccination Status – Definition and Verification

People are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19:

  • At 2 weeks after they have received the second dose in a 2-dose series (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna),
  • At 2 weeks after they have received a single-dose vaccine (Johnson and Johnson [J&J]/Janssen).

Verification: The following are acceptable as proof of full vaccination:

  • Vaccination card (which includes the name of the person vaccinated, type of vaccine provided, the vaccine’s lot number, and date the last dose administered)
    • Photo of a vaccination card as a separate document OR a
    • Photo of the attendee’s vaccine card stored on a phone or electronic device OR
    • Documentation of vaccination from a healthcare provider.

VACCINATED-ONLY SECTIONS – DISTANCING AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Individuals in the Fully Vaccinated-only sections do not have to be physically distanced. Face coverings are required.

• Fully Vaccinated-only sections may be seated at full capacity within that section only. Since everyone will be showing proof of full vaccination, suites may also operate at 100%. However, capacity for the venue must not exceed the limits established.

Our course CE credits are through the following accrediting bodies:

  • ANCC, and
  • CDR

Our CEs count toward the CDCES exam and CDCES / BC-ADM renewal*!

Course credits will continue to count toward the CDCES and BC-ADM certification requirements, and many of our offerings (all of the Standards of Care Intensive courses, plus our Virtual and Live DiabetesEd Training Conferences) fulfill the ADA Standards of Care component required for certification renewal.

The use of DES products does not guarantee the successful passage of the certification exam. CBDCE and ADCES do not endorse any preparatory or review materials for the CDCES or BC-ADM exams, except for those published by CBDCE & ADCES.
