I started working in the Pediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes Clinic at UC Davis Health in May of 2025 after 19 years of inpatient pediatric nursing experience (in surgical, quality improvement, & intensive care settings). It was a big career change going to chronic care and learning so much about diabetes and the endocrine system! I was honored to be a recipient of the Diabetes Education Services Bridge Scholarship for the CDCES Boot Camp in the Fall of 2025 and started accessing modules and studying intensely in January of 2026. With plenty of experiences from a variety of patients, their families, and colleagues to help cement in what I was learning- I felt confident taking the exam August 1, 2026, and am proud to be among the many CDCES providers in the world who are better able to serve people in their community with diabetes!
