10th Pediatric Diabetes and Obesity Seminar – Sutter Health
A medical education event for RN’s, RD’s SW’s and other health care professionals seeking more expertise in pediatric diabetes and obesity.
When: Friday May 11th, 2018
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Where: Sutter Health University, Sacramento CA
Objectives: Upon completion of the seminar, participants will be able to:
- Describe the management of type 1
diabetes in the hospital, community and
school setting including insulin
administration, insulin pumps, continuous
glucose monitors, carbohydrate counting
and exercise - Discuss current research as it relates to
diabetes and obesity - Discuss strategies to utilize in the
management of children with type 2
diabetes - The participant will be able to discuss
the role of gut bacteria in relation to
health.
