“Music makes us enjoy exercise more, finds brain study”

Let’s make exercise more fun!

At Diabetes Education Services, we love listening to music while we exercise! Coach Beverly always plays music when we do our 2:00 p.m. strengthening exercises.

Studies now reveal that listening to music while you exercise can make the experience almost 30% more pleasurable!

“The brain mechanisms that underlie the psychological effects of auditory stimuli during physical activity are hitherto under-researched; particularly so in ecologically valid settings,” the study authors note.

For those of us who hate going to the gym, try making a fun workout playlist to keep you motivated!
